The Lion

It's been a Kiefer Tradition (as in Elisa's side of the family, the Kiefers) to go to San Diego during the summer and stay at an Inn that ended up being right down the street from the house we rented. Every summer they got their picture sitting on the lions that were out in front and they are still there, so we made sure to snap a pic of our boys before we left San Diego...

San Diego Show

Here are some of the fun pictures from our San Diego trip. We drive home tomorrow so it's been a great week and a half to relax, hit the beach, and see some wild animals!

Our family is on vacation in San Diego and we spent the first few days with Elisa's parents and now we are with my parents and brother and his family.

It's Cooper's first time at the beach and he likes the sand but not the water.

It's been fun teaching my family how to be an awesome "Rock Band"...

Cooper is starting to stand and even take a few steps by himself.

And Kiefer got a little rough with Cooper which resulted in a fall that landed us in Urgent Care where Kiefer got 7 staples in his head! Oh the fun :)

We're off to the zoo today...

Gremlin

I was going through pictures taken with our little camera and came across this picture and it really made me laugh because Cooper really looks like a Gremlin, or Yoda, or something.
IMG_1620.JPG
He sure did like the watermelon.

And Kiefer is definitely too cool for school.

Climber

Cooper watches the gate on the stairs like a hawk, and the second you open the gate he goes crawling from where ever he is in the house. If we leave him playing on the ground and accidentally leave the gate open, we'll look around and realize he's already upstairs. He loves to scale the stairs and the funny thing to me is how big each stair is in proportion to him. If I were climbing stairs of the same proportion I don't know that I could pull it off that fast!

Tigers

Kiefer got to a black marker and thought it would fun to make Cooper and him look like tigers!

Dedicated

Dedicated

We had Cooper dedicated at church this morning and the boys were very well behaved which is really nice when the whole church is looking at you. Cooper didn't let Pastor Cole hold him and acted a little annoyed with his hand on him, but it seemed Pastor Cole has plenty of experience and handled it fine. It's great being a part of this church community and we have really liked being at FCF.

It was my week to run Powerpoint and a hardware failure and scrambling to work around it made for a stressful and interesting morning. It kind of reminded me of Hume which started camp last week and our church took their youth group there for the first time, kind of weird not to be there but we'll be in San Diego next week and may swing by the Hume SD camp and visit my cousin. Anyway, some more pics from the morning:

Friday Night

uploaded from my iPhone

Friday night fun in the Watson family includes dinner out and hitting
the local Barnes for some books and trains. Once the kids went to bed
Elisa and I watched "Lars and the Real Girl" which was quite enjoyable.

Kiefer is getting quite good with the Harmonica and as you can see, Cooper is quite enthralled by it.

Trapped

uploaded from my iPhone

Cooper is getting to be a big "little" brother and already figured out how to trap Kiefer under this Papasan frame, just like his dad used to do to his older brother...
