Dino & Lion

uploaded from my iPhone

Kiefer had a great time dressing up as a dinosaur and Cooper had no idea what was going on, but he did roar a few times. Elisa's awesome shirt is covered but it says "Little Miss Scary" and is a take off of the Mr. Happy and Little Miss Sunshine characters.

Facial Hair

I decided to do a little experiment to check and see if I have "grown up" yet by seeing if I could grow a beard. The last two weeks I didn't shave and let's just say I wasn't too successful. After the first week and a half, my face was looking really nasty. Even with lots of water and plenty of sunshine, I found out that I have a "No Grow Zone" that stays as smooth as Cooper's rear and makes the rare hairs around my jaw look way out of place. So I decided to back off and try for just the goatee which was sort of coming in under my chin. Let's just say that even after letting it grow, I just ended up with random length hairs that couldn't cover all the empty patches which my wife calls a "chin comb-over". So after much pleading from Elisa I got rid of it today, but I thought I should at least document my results so that maybe in ten years I can try again...

Overstimulation

uploaded from my iPhone

We put Cooper in an "exersaucer" at the Lundgren's house and he loved it so we decided to get one for him. The only one they had at China-Mart was this one with stuff all over it and you know how much I love stuff, but this still seems a little excessive. I think Cooper's eyes pretty much say what he's thinking.

Foam Contest

We got this crazy beaded foam stuff at the toy store that is like play dough but different and decided to have a sculpting contest. We ended up with three snakes in the competition, but I think that is because the orange snake was so cool that imitators followed. Anyway, we have a poll on the top right that you can vote on your favorite. Enjoy...

Disc Golf

uploaded from my iPhone

Nate and I played some disc golf and learned a very important lesson, don't use "invisible discs" while playing on a Flagstaff course (these are white and blend with the rocks). We spent a good amount of time on about 5 different holes trying to find a disc in the open. We did get to meet a lot of golfers as they passed us.

3rd Birthday

Kiefer had his third birthday today and got a new ride-on excavator. It was great to have Jefferson and the Sees here for the party and we also had a few of his other friends over for a great evening. Elisa made an awesome train cake and we let the kids start out by eating the candy off the cake which was really fun!

Cardinals

uploaded from my iPhone

My brother and dad and I went to the game today and it was a blast! The new stadium is amazing and we had some great seats. My dad wore his "Plummer" jersey just to show he's been a fan a lot longer than most of the people in the stadium.

It was a disappointing loss but we did get to watch Tim Rattay come in and play QB after getting signed on Tuesday. It was fun for us because my dad coached and Jon and I played little league with him back in the day.

Here is our awesome view from our seats, 48 yard line, 6 rows up.

Reunion

We had our Mountain View Class of 1997 reunion tonight and it was amazing! We had about 300 people and it was so fun to see so many faces that I hadn't seen since graduation. We got a lot of great feedback and it seemed that the class really enjoyed the time together at Rustler's Rooste. Here are some pics from the night:

Amazing Jake's

uploaded from my iPhone

We went to Amazing Jake's as our Friday night reunion activity and it was fun to see classmates at this huge pizza place. Kiefer loved the go carts but he wasn't so sure about this "Frog Hopper" that bounced up and down. He basically stared at the ground and said "Scared". He did enjoy spinning on the tea cups.

Pumpkin Patch

We went to a pumpkin patch outside of Flagstaff for a fun Saturday activity. They had a hay ride and scavenger hunt and games and the most amazing pumpkin patch where the pumpkins grew and then detached from the vines and there were no vines in sight, only pumpkins.
